Biography of Annie Artinian



Annie Artinian enjoys teaching piano to students of all ages. Her teaching career spans over several decades. Other than maintaining a studio at home, she has held active teaching positions at North Central College’s Piano Academy in Naperville from 1998-2007, and Concordia University Chicago’s Preparatory and Community Piano Program in River Forest since 2006.

She has prepared students to participate in festivals, standardized annual exams, as well as the Illinois Achievement in Music (AIM) exams for students of all levels. Other activities include monthly group lessons and preparing students for various recitals.

An accomplished pianist, Mrs. Artinian appears regularly in solo and ensemble performances, and has served as a church musician. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the Chicago College of Performing Arts of Roosevelt University, where she studied with Dr. Bruce Berr. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Her piano studies have carried her abroad to the Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan, Armenia, where she studied with Irina Setrakian.
